Welcome to Bubblem. These Terms are the agreement between you and the Bubblem Team for using our map-based social app. Please read them carefully.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Bubblem mobile or web applications and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
You can browse as a guest, or create an account to post. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others or use another person's account without permission. Your handle is permanent once set.
You retain ownership of the bubbles, replies, images, video, and other content you create ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant Bubblem a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for residual copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy or required by law.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to post it and that it does not violate these Terms or any law or third-party right.
You agree not to use the Service to post, share, or transmit content, or engage in conduct, that:
The Service provides tools to report content or users and to block users. We may review reported content and, at our discretion, remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Some content may be automatically hidden pending review. We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we may do so.
Bubbles are designed to be short-lived and disappear from the live map after a period of time. You should not rely on the Service to store or preserve Your Content permanently. We are not responsible for any loss of content resulting from this design or from deletion, eviction, or service changes.
Bubblem publishes the location you attach to a bubble to other users. You are responsible for the locations you choose to share and should not pin content to places you wish to keep private. The Service is provided for lawful, respectful use and not for tracking, stalking, or harming others.
The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to the Bubblem Team and is protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
The Service uses third-party components, including map tiles from MapTiler and OpenStreetMap and place-name data from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), and relies on Google and Apple infrastructure. Your use of those components may be subject to their respective terms. Attributions are available in the app's About screen.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses for residual copies, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content posted by users is accurate or reliable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Bubblem Team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Bubblem Team harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent permitted by law, the Tokyo District Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
